Which pharmacies are on duty today in Cyprus?
Wednesday 4 November: 19 pharmacies are on duty (Nicosia 6, Limassol 5, Larnaca 3, Paphos 3, Famagusta 2). Pick a district for names, addresses and phone numbers.
Until what time are on-duty pharmacies open?
They take walk-ins until 23:00. After that the pharmacist answers the phone for urgent prescriptions until 08:00, when the rota changes.
What if I need medicine after 23:00?
Phone the on-duty pharmacy in your district. For a serious health problem, go to the emergency department of the nearest state hospital or call 112.
What time does the pharmacy rota change?
Every morning at 08:00. The list on onduty.cy switches automatically at that moment, so a page left open always shows the right pharmacies.
Are pharmacies on duty on Sundays and public holidays?
Yes. The rota covers every day of the year, including Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, with on-duty pharmacies in every district.
Is there a 24-hour pharmacy in Cyprus?
Not a permanent one. Every day the Pharmaceutical Services of the Ministry of Health set on-duty pharmacies in each district. If a life is at risk, call 112.
How do I find the nearest on-duty pharmacy?
Tap “Near” and pick an area, or choose “Use my location”. Pharmacies are sorted by distance, and the directions button opens the route in your maps app.
Can tourists use on-duty pharmacies in Cyprus?
Yes, anyone can walk in. Pharmacists in Cyprus generally speak English. Bring the box or the name of your medicine, since brand names differ between countries.
Which areas are covered?
Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, Paphos and the government-controlled part of Famagusta district, including Paralimni, Ayia Napa, Deryneia and Sotira. Pharmacies in smaller towns and villages, such as Polis Chrysochous, are listed too.
Where does this information come from?
From the official rota of the Pharmaceutical Services, Ministry of Health, published on data.gov.cy. onduty.cy is an independent service and is not affiliated with the Ministry.
